Professional Autograph Hunter Spent £36k in 2015 Hunting Down Celebrities

An extreme autograph hunter has spoken about he spends £36,000 a year stalking celebrities across the world.

Jason Thanos says he spent £3,000 a month on travel and 5 star hotels following A listed actors.

The guy can for days outside premieres to obtain autographs.

He said its worthwhile as he can sell a single signature for several thousand pounds depending on what kind of item he gets signed.

In the past he has sold autographs of Muhammad Ali, Sylvester Stallone, Megan Fox and Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe.

He regularly zips to  Canada, US, France, Italy and Ireland for film festivals and premieres in London.

He takes photos of himself with  celebrities for authentication, he has  selfies with names including Angelina Jolie, Al Pacino and Brad Pitt.”

He sells the signatures to fans and claims he asks a fair price with signatures ranging from £20 to £1000s.

He says its a  a service to those who can’t meet them. There are lots of people who cant travel to meet their heroes.

Muhammad Ali’s signature is the most desirable one and has sold one of his signed robes for £2,500.

He started collecting signatures in 2000 starting with bands he saw at concerts.

He then started collecting professionally and set up a website called Hollywood Autographs, in 2009.

He says the reason it can cost a lot is because he needs a team to hunt down the top celebs.

You may need to buy the merchandise for the stars to sign, pictures, posters, props from films, anything which would make the signature rarer.
