Game of Thrones, Get Ready for the Final Series

HBO has confirmed that Game of Thrones will air for a final season in April 2019.

In a blow for Thrones fans,HBO has hinted there could be another along wait between the end of Game of Thrones and the start of the first spin-off show.

How many episodes for season 8?
The eighth season will be only six episodes, making it shorter than the penultimate season (seven episodes), and much shorter than the first six seasons of the show which had 10 episodes each.

While the eighth season will only have six episodes, it appears episodes will be up to 80 minutes, and the possibility of feature-length instalments.

All the main cast-members will return for the last series. As this is Game of Thrones, however, we can’t be sure who will survive until the last episode. Although it is an ensemble show, the cast’s salaries might give some indication which characters will be given the most air time in the final season: in 2017, Variety said that five cast members – Peter Dinklage (Tyrion), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime), Lena Headey (Cersei), were pulling $500,000 per episode.

Other returning cast members including Liam Cunningham (Davos), Sophie Turner (Sansa), Maisie Williams (Arya), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) and Gwendoline Christie (Brienne).

Strictly Come Dancing, Some of the Secrets

Strictly Come Dancing, the Secrets You Dont Get to Hear About

There is a spray tan booth that is delivered to the Elstree Studios in Borehamwood every Friday and everyone gets herded into it for their full-body dowsing.
A big bag of false eyelashes stands in the corner of the makeup room filled to the top with pristine boxes. Makeup artists use hundreds of pairs per series, so they have to be within easy reach.
The celebrities are sewn into their costumes shortly before the start of the show, meaning trips to the toilet have to be carefully timed – and they are not allowed to eat from 3pm onwards.
The team like to have upto four dresses made for each celebrity by the time the show airs for the first time, but has no idea which concepts producers will throw in each week.

An elaborate dress should take four days to make but we have been able to do it in two. All-night working parties are part and parcel of Strictly.
Any sense of awkwardness is flung out the window as the time pressures mean the professionals have to change rapidly between performances – so a ‘modesty curtain’ is set up next to the ‘Star Bar’ area for them to strip off their clothes and get the next outfit on.

After a series has finished the costumes are sold on to dance companies around the globe and are never offered to the general public.

Dr Who, The Tardis and Jodie Whittaker

Jodie Whittaker’s  first episode of Doctor Who has received mainly positive reviews from critics.

Her performance and those of her co-stars, and the production values of The Woman Who Fell To Earth came in for praise.

Although some critics felt there was still room for improvement.

In his four-star review for The Sun, Rod McPhee said Whittaker “may be the breath of fresh air needed to revive a flagging program”.

“She doesn’t always strike the right balance between quirky geek and masterful Time Lord. And at times she comes across as irritatingly childlike.

“The highest praise is that you quickly forget you’re watching a female Doctor and just accept you’re watching THE Doctor.”

Writing in the i paper, Stephen Kelly complimented the show’s improved production.

“Never before has Doctor Who looked so crisp and cinematic, nor the CGI so convincing and expensive,” he wrote.

Carol Midgley awarded the episode four stars in her review from The Times.

“The best compliment I can pay Whittaker after the first episode, her casting doesn’t feel remotely radical. It feels normal,” she said.

Star Treks William Shatner and His Policy on Signing Autographs

Shatner and His Policy on Signing Autographs

William Shatner fans know not to ask him for an autograph.

The 87-year-old on Twitter replied to a user who warned others not to request a signature from him.

“How about you just don’t ask me? Most who follow me know I don’t give autographs in public.”

“You’ll probably just get yelled at,” the commenter claimed.

When asked if he could get a private autograph, the actor said, “Not for you Mr. Hairlick.”

Replying to another user about his autograph policy, Shatner said, “You don’t like that…don’t follow me.”

One commenter told Shatner that offering his signature “is a simple thank-you that costs nothing but means the world to a true fan.” Shatner insisted it’s impossible to please every fan.

“If I’m out & about with family or waiting for a plane & I sign one; an instant line forms,” he tweeted. “So if I say no to #1 or #21 it’s the same – I’m a jerk. So to save time the answer is no. Conventions are the place to get my autograph.

One commenter claimed Shatner is “openly rude” with fans.

“I understand having your space,” he said. “You have been doing this a long time. But I saw an interview you did once and you basically s— all over your fans. That’s not cool either. We may not pay you, but we gave you that pedestal.”

“What’s up with being direct and truthful?” Shatner replied. “Would you rather I lie and say I injured my hand playing tennis so I’m not up to signing today. ”

So thats it folks just dont ask him except at conventions and then he will charge you money.

Yet again, there are celebs who prefer giving autographs to taking selfies, as they are quicker and less intrusive.

Other celebs who gave up signing autographs are Ringo Starr, Steve Martin, Jonah Hill, Emma Watson, Bill Murray and JME.
