Star Treks William Shatner and His Policy on Signing Autographs

Shatner and His Policy on Signing Autographs

William Shatner fans know not to ask him for an autograph.

The 87-year-old on Twitter replied to a user who warned others not to request a signature from him.

“How about you just don’t ask me? Most who follow me know I don’t give autographs in public.”

“You’ll probably just get yelled at,” the commenter claimed.

When asked if he could get a private autograph, the actor said, “Not for you Mr. Hairlick.”

Replying to another user about his autograph policy, Shatner said, “You don’t like that…don’t follow me.”

One commenter told Shatner that offering his signature “is a simple thank-you that costs nothing but means the world to a true fan.” Shatner insisted it’s impossible to please every fan.

“If I’m out & about with family or waiting for a plane & I sign one; an instant line forms,” he tweeted. “So if I say no to #1 or #21 it’s the same – I’m a jerk. So to save time the answer is no. Conventions are the place to get my autograph.

One commenter claimed Shatner is “openly rude” with fans.

“I understand having your space,” he said. “You have been doing this a long time. But I saw an interview you did once and you basically s— all over your fans. That’s not cool either. We may not pay you, but we gave you that pedestal.”

“What’s up with being direct and truthful?” Shatner replied. “Would you rather I lie and say I injured my hand playing tennis so I’m not up to signing today. ”

So thats it folks just dont ask him except at conventions and then he will charge you money.

England Football and the 1966 World Cup

England win the World Cup in 1966.

The image you see with this post contains ALL the signatures of the 1966 World Cup winning team, 12 signatures in all including Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton, Gordon Banks, Alan Ball and Geoff Hurst and the England manager Sir Alf Ramsey.
Sadly, Sir Alf, Bobby Moore, Alan Ball and Ray Wilson are no longer with us.

It is getting more difficult each year to obtain signatures from these ex football players and to find all in one presentation, quite rare. We at JK Autographs have compiled this mount ourselves and have met 9 of the listed players several times each.

Lets hope that after some success at the 2018 World Cup Gareth Southgate can take the team further in up and coming competitions.

Do you want your Breaking Bad merchandise or photo signed by Bryan Cranston. Bad luck – he won’t be signing it now.

After 18 years of giving autographs to fans he is retiring, the star has announced this on social media, complaining he has been inundated with requests.

He said he didnt mind meeting fans and would “personalize pix in person”. But nothing else he said.

He hoped people would understand and indicated a selfie would be OK, but, no signatures.

He is one of a number of celebrities who have said that giving autographs could be a monetary thing for some hunters.

Professional autograph hunters are often found at premieres and other events, collecting celebrity signatures on photos and other memorabilia.

Yet again, there are celebs who prefer giving autographs to taking selfies, as they are quicker and less intrusive.

Other celebs who gave up signing autographs are Ringo Starr, Steve Martin, Jonah Hill, Emma Watson, Bill Murray and JME.
